The Spirit of Niugini operates out of Tawall Resort, Milne Bay. Alotau is the closest airport.
Unfortunately recent experience with the Spirit and its owner in September 2018 have led us to remove this boat from our portfolio for the foreseeable future. Two charters were cancelled due to mechanical issues and on the second one no adequate alternative or compensation was offered by the owner. Fortunately the Febrina and the newly-acquired Oceania run excellent trips.

Diving
• The Dive-Deck:
The Dive-deck on Spirit of Niugini is thoughtfully laid out to provide spacious dressing and individual storage areas. The twin staircases that lead down to the diving platform are easy to negotiate and make your dive entry easy. At the end of each dive, divers are treated with hot towels. Four fresh water showers and a head are conveniently located on the dive deck and dive platform.
• Nitrox Capabilities: Nitrox, through a DNAx system (32% 02Mix), is available as an option to qualified divers.
Diving activities on board are supported by two electric Bauer air-compressors, a 4500-PSI air bank storage system and hyperfiltration system producing grade "D" breathing air with 4 fill hoses and two 4.70-meter R.I.Bs with 40 H.P outboards.
• Photographic Facilities:
Spirit of Niugini is excellent to underwater photographers and videographers.
• Safety:
Spirit of Niugni staff members are certified to carry out first-aid treatment and the vessel carries comprehensive first-aid facilities including DAN approved oxygen kits. SSB radio, cellular and satellite telephone systems ensure the vessel is in permanent contact with mainland emergency service.
