Papua New Guinea Liveaboards
Papua New Guinea currently has two liveaboards offering scheduled departures, the 12-berth MV Febrina operates out of Walindi Plantation Resort, West New Britain.
The 16-berth Oceania, also operating mainly from Walindi Plantation Resort and in February and March from Alotau, Milne Bay Province.
Both vessels offer Nitrox, great crew, and stunning diving, with hs 10-night signature itineraries to the Witu Islands and Fathers Reefs, seven-night Kimbe Bay itineraries, eight-night combination itineraries (Kimbe and one of Witus or Fathers), and once a year the Oceania does four ten-night Milne Bay itineraries. Neither vessel is a luxury boat, but both have individually controlled AC in the cabins and great staff. The Oceania was fully-refitted in early 2019 and is the most comfortable of the two with plenty of outside space for relaxing.
Down in Milne Bay, the MV Chertan, MV Golden Dawn, and the Undersea Explorer are both available for group charters of the whole boat, with a range of itineraries possible depending on the season and the group's desires. Contact us for a personalised quote.
There is also a boat called the Spirit of Nuigini, but she is rarely operational due to never-ending maintenance issues.
